Direct transfer of video tapes to DVD

Our direct transfer of most types of video and camcorder tapes to DVD is our cheapest & most popular option at only $20 per tape ( any length ). 

If you have a 2 or 3 hour video tape but only want 'X' minutes transferring, you can instruct us on the order form where we should start & stop the transfer, using hours/minutes/seconds (00:00:00).

The maximum footage you can transfer onto a single DVD is 2 hours to keep the picture quality at its best. If the footage on your tape is longer than 2 hours, we will put this onto 2 DVDs for you at no extra cost.

We can transfer a maximum of 1 VHS tape per DVD as part of our 'direct transfer' service.

Chapters are set at 5 minute intervals to make it easy for you to skip your DVD forward & backwards.

Each DVD you receive will have a colour picture & title printed directly onto the disc (no cheap labels), & comes in a high quality DVD case with inner sleeve. You can provide us with text & a picture, or we can use a screenshot from your tape.

We strongly recommend that you send us your video tapes on a signed for service as we cannot be held responsible for tapes lost in the post. We always return your tapes & DVD's .

Editing services

If you want us to personalize your DVD, we provide a bespoke editing service. We use specialist film editing software to create professional looking DVDs. You can instruct us to move footage around, cut unwanted scenes, & add music to make your DVD unique.

Your DVD will have a menu screen with your chosen music track, image & text. Chapters are set at 10 minute intervals to make it easy for you to skip your DVD forwards & backwards.

Our editing service costs $ 99 to convert & then edit footage from one VHS tape. If you have footage from more than one tape for the same DVD, we charge $50 for each additional tape used.

There is no maximum amount of tapes you can use, although we can only transfer up to 2 hours of footage per DVD to keep the picture quality at its best.

Just include your instructions and specify where the footage from each tape starts & ends by using hours/minutes/seconds (00:00:00). Please clearly label your tapes 1,2,3.. etc.

Optional recycling of your old tapes

Video cassettes are made up of various oxides & plastics, none of which
are bio-degradable. If you only intend to throw away your video tapes once you've had them converted & returned, we can offer this environmentally friendly way to dispose of your tapes, at no extra cost or hassle to you.

If you wish to take up this service, once we have converted your video tapes onto DVD, we will keep hold of them & only send you the DVD's. Once you have received these, send us a confirmation email that they have arrived, & also final permission for your tapes to be recycled.

This is an optional service only. We fully understand people who want to keep their tapes for safekeeping. If you do not ask for this recycling option in writing we will return all your tapes along with your DVD's.
